Theology and Faith
We value Faithfulness to the Doctrines of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The following resources are here to help increase your study of God's word, and grow in faith and knowledge.
The Bible in a Year. Reading the Word of God is an important part of the life of a Christian. Reading through the Bible in a year helps give an understanding of God and His love for His creation. Today's busy schedules remind us of the difficulty of placing priority on remaining faithful to our vocation as God's children. Let this reading plan help provide direction for your study, confidence, and commitment to remaining grounded in His Word.
Alexander MacLaren (1826-1910) was a distinguished British non-conformist minister known for his profound biblical exegesis and impactful preaching. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, MacLaren was steeped in religious study from a young age, influenced by his father, David MacLaren, a devout Baptist. Despite a burgeoning career in the business world, MacLaren felt a compelling call to ministry, leading him to pursue theological studies. His dedication to understanding the Scriptures profoundly shaped his future contributions to Christian ministry and scholarship.
The Concordia Organist This 31-CD collection provides pipe organ accompaniments for all of the hymns and liturgical music in Lutheran Service Book. It’s a useful tool for congregations of all sizes that need accompaniment for worship, in a chapel or small group setting, or for visitation with shut-ins. Features organists Paul Grime, Kevin Hildebrand, and Richard Resch, playing the Schlicker organ in Kramer Chapel at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
